
IV LEAGUE PROFESSIONALS are all licensed Occupational Therapists in the Province of Ontario and experienced to handle any type of referral from straight-forward to complex.
In 1990, Ms. Vrckovnik incorporated Toronto Occupational Therapy Associates (TOTA), one of the first O.T. Companies incorporated in Ontario. For a ten year period, Ms. Vrckovnik developed and managed TOTA successfully before selling it in 2000 to a national rehabilitation company. After selling TOTA, Ms. Vrckovnik served as a consultant to the purchasing company for one year followed by two years as the first O.T. Practice Leader at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) and appointment to the University of Toronto Occupational Therapy Department. At WSIB, Ms. Vrckovnik was instrumental in developing the role of Occupational Therapy in the Serious Injury Program. At the University of Toronto she taught O.T. students about WSIB and auto-injury legislation and the role of O.T. in private practice.
In 2003, Ms. Vrckovnik incorporated IV League of Occupational Therapists, which is a company relying on 30 years of experience and the belief that there is no case too challenging.
Irene Vrckovnik is a fully qualified Occupational Therapist licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario, Canada. She is a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and a member of the national and provincial Occupational Therapy Associations. Ms. Vrckovnik graduated from the University of Toronto, Occupational Therapy Program in 1983. In 2017, she graduated from the Occupational Therapy Advanced Standing Masters' program at the University of Toronto.
Upon graduation in 1983 she worked in the public sector at University Teaching Hospitals for nine years specializing in psychiatry, burn rehabilitation, and spinal cord/head injury cases. From 1990 to the present, Ms. Vrckovnik has been working in the private sector. Ms. Vrckovnik has been qualified as an expert witness and has testified on numerous occasions for both the plaintiff and defence.
Ms. Vrckovnik has Adjunct Lecturer Appointment in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto and regularly participates in courses as a guest lecturer. Many of Ms. Vrckovnik’s mentees have gone on to hold prominent positions in Occupational Therapy, in both the public and private sectors. Since 1996, her company provides two yearly student awards to graduating Occupational Therapists from the University of Toronto, Occupational Therapy Division.
